1.0877 — alloy Steel: Composition, Properties & Applications
Also known as: 1.0877
EN/DIN steel grade 1.0877
CHEMICAL COMPOSITION
C:0.05-0.70;Si:0.10-0.50;Mn:0.30-1.60;P:≤0.045;S:≤0.045
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
General engineering and manufacturing use per EN/DIN specification.
AVAILABLE FORMS
Bar, plate, sheet, tube, forgings, strip, wire
HEAT TREATMENT
Austenitize at 820–870 °C (oil or water quench depending on section) and temper at 400–650 °C to the required strength/toughness balance.
PROCESSING PRECAUTIONS
Preheat and control interpass temperature when welding; post-weld heat treatment or stress relief is recommended to avoid hard-zone cracking. Use low-hydrogen electrodes. Protect from decarburization during heating (controlled atmosphere or protective coating).
SOURCE & SUPPLY
Shanxi Youte Steel stocks 1.0877 in bars, plates, pipes and forgings with mill test certificates, cut-to-length service and export packaging. Contact our team for quotations and technical data sheets.
