080A67 — alloy Steel: Composition, Properties & Applications

Aug 23, 2026 0 views 0 comments
Also known as: 080A67
080A67 grade supplied by Shanxi Youte Steel (jlhsteel.net).

CHEMICAL COMPOSITION
C:0.65-0.7;Mn:0.7-0.9;P:≤0.05;S:0.025-0.05;Cr:≤0.3;Ni:≤0.4;Mo:≤0.15

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
Low-alloy engineering steel with enhanced hardenability and strength from alloying elements. Chromium (≈0.3%) improves hardenability, wear and corrosion resistance. Molybdenum (≈0.15%) raises high-temperature strength and prevents temper embrittlement. Nickel (≈0.4%) increases toughness and impact strength at low temperature. Applied to gears, shafts, bolts, connecting rods, pressure parts and heavy forgings in automotive, energy and machinery sectors.

AVAILABLE FORMS
Bar, Plate, Tube, Forging, Wire

HEAT TREATMENT
Austenitize at 760–820 °C and quench (oil/water) then temper at 150–400 °C for high hardness; spheroidize anneal (680–720 °C) improves machinability of the as-rolled bar.

PROCESSING PRECAUTIONS
Preheat and control interpass temperature when welding; post-weld heat treatment or stress relief is recommended to avoid hard-zone cracking. Use low-hydrogen electrodes. Protect from decarburization during heating (controlled atmosphere or protective coating).
