Uses
Zinc alloy for pressure die-casting and protective galvanizing. Used in automotive components, hardware, building products and corrosion protection.
Heat Treatment
Die-casting alloys used as-cast; aging at room temp (several weeks) stabilises dimensions. Hot-chamber or cold-chamber die casting.
Precautions
Low melting point — avoid accidental melting; die-cast parts can distort if heated. Hot-chamber casting needs tight process control.
